On this trail we will see beautiful scene, humantay lague, then vegetation and extraordinary ecological varieties. The ancient Inca Road goes through the National Park and takes you through the Sun Gate with unforgettable views of Machu Picchu  and finally into subtropical vegetation. The Inca Trail is a famous trekking route in Peru that leads to the historic site of Machu Picchu. While the classic Inca Trail is a 4-day trek that covers approximately 43 kilometers, there are also shorter options available for those who may not have the time or physical ability to complete the full trek. Here’s an example of a short Inca Trail itinerary:

REAL INCA TRAIL 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

DAY 1: OLLANTAYTAMBO- KM 104 CHACHABAMBA- WIÑAY-WAYNA- MACHUPICCHU-AGUAS CALIENTES.

We`ll pick you up from your Hotel very early to transfer you for a 2 hour journey by private car to the Train Station in Ollantaytambo then we will go on Train according to your preferences category and after 1 hour and 45 minutes aprox. You’ll arrive to the km 104 start of the hike. We will start walking into the other side of the Vilcanota river the trail heads off to the right towards the ruins of Chachabamba, see the stone altar to the sun and the mountains a sacred rock for locals. After a visit in Chachabamba, we will continue the trail heads south and begin climbing the mountain, before entering the cloud forest.   This is where trekkers can enjoy a beautiful waterfall. After leaving the waterfall and forest, trekkers will arrive at the lower part of the incredible ruins of Wiñaywayna. After lunch in Wiñaywayna we continue through a cloud forest full of bromelias, orchids and fern trees. You will walk the last part of the original trail with amazing features stone steps and tambos “resting places” and climb the 60 steps before arriving to the Inti Punku or “Sun`s Gate”. From this point you will be able to contemplate and observe this marvelous place, last 45 minutes to be on front of this wonder, where you can feel an inner peace. Spend a short time for pictures and views, with luck you can observe a magnificent sunset, then we prepare our mind for the next early morning, time to take a bus for 30 minutes to Aguas Calientes town. Hot springs pools are optional (bring your bathing suit and 10 soles) or just free time to chill out at this small village.

Day 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO- CUSCO

Early wake up early. and after breakfast in your hotel, re-live the history and the mysterious world of Machupicchu and the Incas, fuse with the mystic of this fascinating and unique place, discover yourself the perfect symbiosis and harmony created by nature and the Incas people. We take the first bus up at approx 05.20 am and arrive at the ruin`s gate before 06.00 am when the Park is open. This time is still not so crowded yet so we take advantage of the tranquility of this sacred site ; Guided Tour of Machupicchu. This enigmatic city is explored for Approx 2 hrs and their mysteries and archaeological information will be explained by your expert guide, ( you generally have approx 6 hrs extra free time but depends on train timetables in high season.)

After that return to Aguas Calientes by bus and then take the train to ollantaytambo and finale transport to Cusco by car.

DAY 3: HUMANTAY LAGUE FULL DAY

We will leave Cusco at 5:30am and head towards Mollepata where we have breakfast (3000m/9843f) where we will stop for a while thereafter, then we continue to our camping spot of Soraypampa (3900m/12795f). From here, we start hiking within a magnificent valley, surrounded by the most important snow-capped mountains such as the Humantay (5217m/17116f) and the Salkantay (6264m/20551f). Also this morning we discover the beautiful lake of Laguna de Humantay (3900m/12795ft) and if you are well in fitness the view frontal of Salkantay snow-covered from Salkantay pampa (4100m/13451). So in the way back to take our lunch in Mollepata before to back to Cusco
